On June 5th, the 43rd “World Environment Day”, SECCO  ushered in a batch of special guests——over 80 residents from Donghai village, Caojing town.

In the first place, Hill Lawrence, director of HSSE Q dept. of SECCO, extended a warm welcome to the villagers and introduced the overview of SECCO to them: the leader of the environmental protection team from HSSE Q dept. introduced the philosophy and practice of SECCO in  the aspect of environmental protection; lab director introduced the main products of SECCO and how to use plastic products in daily life. Subsequently, with strong interest the villagers visited SECCO plant area including SECCO firefighting brigade and ground flare, etc. The villagers have said they had a more intuitional understanding of SECCO through the introduction and site visit and felt closer and more intimate with SECCO. Before coming to SECCO, the villagers also went to the center of health examination in SCIP and participated in the health examination funded by SECCO.

SECCO keeps committing itself to being a “good neighbor” of communities. The activity of community open day also aims at giving the residents from surrounding communities a better understanding of  SECCO and petrochemical products and building a more active and amiable image of enterprise.
