Over 140 students participating in 2013 Shanghai Youth Summer Camp for Science and Technology visited SECCO on the afternoon of July 7.

SECCO is the first leg of the summer camp’s green chemistry tour. Students visited SECCO CCR and site and inspected the plant peripheral ecological environment. Experts from SECCO HSSEQ and Production introduced to the students SECCO’s advanced concept and practice of green chemistry. Students enthusiastically asked questions about social issues and hot technical and scientific topics relating to latest chemical technology, equipment upgrading, social responsibility, chemical material application etc. They also had a happy and warm exchange with SECCO professionals.

“A tour of exploration for ecological civilization – 2013 Shanghai Youth Summer Camp for Science and Technology” is sponsored by Shanghai Science and Technology Art Education Center etc. and co-sponsored by Jinshan District, Caojing Town etc. with the purpose to award the excellent youth in Shanghai who are interested in science and technology exploration and encourage them to continue exploring science and technology, conducting inspection in ecological agriculture and green chemistry. The four-day summer camp attracted over one hundred students from grade 2 of junior middle school to grade 2 of senior high school in 16 districts and counties of Shanghai. Those students in the camp have excellent creativity in science and technology and deep interest in ecology, environment and engineering.
