In Asian Petrochemical Conference on May 18, SECCO’s DGM Yang Xiaoping, Commercial Director Colin Chua, Planning Manager May Zheng and other 3 persons visited SECCO’s butadiene customer Trinseo in its Singapore office and talked with its Global Business Development VP Jeffery and Global Procurement Director Christopher et al.

 

Both reviewed the cooperation on butadiene and looked out the opportunity of cooperation on butadiene, styrene and AN after Trinseo’s Zhangjiagang ABS plant gets on stream in 2017. Both also shared process safety management concept and operation practice.

 

At last in the meeting, Jeffery on behalf of Trinseo issued its cup of “2010-2015 Best Global Supplier” to SECCO to thank and praise for SECCO’s sticking to its committed operation concept and SECCO’s technical support and service to Trinseo’s Zhangjiagang plant in terms of hazardous chemicals offsite safety. It is understood that the “Best Global Supplier” was assessed every 5 years on aspects of competitive, innovative, responsive & supportive, partnership.

 

In 2010 Trinseo was separated from Dow Chemical. Now it has 65 plants and offices in 27 countries in the world, totally 2100 employees, annual sales of 4 billion USD. Its plant in Zhangjiagang had an original capacity of 150ktpa SBL and expanded in August 2015 to 200ktpa.
