On October 17, 2015, SCIP Basketball League Match came to the end. By virtue of the fighting spirit and excellent organization, SECCO basketball team won the Second Place in the Basketball League Match. The member of the company’s Party committee, Vice Chairman of Trade Union, Finance Director Zhou Meiyun boosted the morale of the basketball players. Zheng Fangyong from PO plant of Production was very excellent and won the award of Best Shooter.

Basketball players participating in this SCIP Basketball League Match came from 30 SCIP enterprises, departments and units, including SCIP Administrative Committee United Team, Jinshan Frontier Inspection, Fire Brigade, Bayer Materials, 3M, and Sino-French Water. Supported by the company’s leadership and all departments, the company’s trade union set up a SECCO Basketball Team composed of 12 employees, including Gao Zhenlong (team leader) from Internal Audit, Zheng Fangyong, Huang Weidong and Yang Jun from PO plant of Production, Xiao Lei and Dong Hui from ES, Zhang Wei from EBSM plant, Shen Yong from TDC, Shen Yihui, Shen Yang and Xiang Huangbin from HSSE&Q, and Lan Chuanzhang from PO Sales Team of Commercial.

This basketball game was held from April 17 to October 17 for a period of 6 months, including three stages as follows. From April 17 to June 26, the group game was held among 4 groups (7-8 teams each group), SECCO basketball team won the first in the group with six wins and entered the rematch smoothly. From August 15 to September 19, the rematch was held among 2 groups (6 teams each group). SECCO basketball team won the second in the group with four wins and one lose and entered the quarter knockout. On October 17, after struggling hard, SECCO basketball team defeated the SCIP Administrative Committee United Team in the knockout and entered the final. In the final, the players were not afraid of the strong rival and strived for the ball, but was finally defeated by Jinshan Frontier Inspection (the champion of last basketball game) and won the second place.

During the game, SECCO basketball players fully presented good spirit and morality of SECCO employees, and won the praise from the Organizing Committee and the other competitors. This year is the second time for SECCO basketball team to take part in SCIP basketball game. In the last game, SECCO won the fifth place.
