Polyethylene (PE) is a high molecular compound polymerized with ethylene. It has good mechanic and electric properties, chemical stabilities, and perfect processing performances. It is mainly used in plastic products manufacturing, including packaging film, agricultural film, plastic container, pipeline, commodity products, sheet and plate, fiber. PE can be catalogued generally into LLDPE, LDPE and HDPE.

  Shanghai SECCO 900KTPA Ethylene Cracker Complex Downstream PE Plant has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons, which includes LLDP and HDPE. It adopts BP's patent technology and has a wide scope of application, covering major application areas of such products as film, injection molding, blow molding & extrusion (pipeline).
 
 
 

Polypropylene is a light milky, semitransparent polyolefin pellet. It is the only one species, which could withstand boiling water, in all of the general purpose plastic, and could be sterilized under 130¡æ. Polypropylene has excellent properties, including good dielectric strength, chemical stability, almost inabsorbability of water, with no effect on contacting with most of the chemicals. Polypropylene could be corroded on contacting with fuming sulfuric acid, fuming nitric acid, chromic acid solution, halogen, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform. Polypropylene is nontoxic plastic, could be applied in the manufacturing of food grade packaging materials and medical appliances. Compared with polyethylene, polypropylene has minor mold shrinkage and good stress cracking resistance.

  The Polypropylene Plant, one of the derivative plants of the 900 KTPA Ethylene Cracker Complex owned by Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company Ltd., has a production capacity of 250 KTPA. This PP Plant employs the licensed technology from BP, which has wide product applicability scope covering injection mounding forming, blow mounding, thermal forming, film, extrusion, sheet materials and fiber. In terms of the fiber resin, in particular, its cut fiber, continuous filament yarn, non-woven fabric and ripping film are featured by remarkable toughness and strength. SECCO introduced some grades, including hereinto homo-polymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer, etc.
 
 
 

PS can be divided into two categories: general-purpose polystyrene and high impact polystyrene. GPPS, taking on a transparent and crystal form, has many grades with the difference of molecular weight. HIPS contains 5% elastomer for the purpose of enhancing impact intensity. PS is primarily applied to electric appliance, automobile, film and packaging, architecture material, toy, household items and etc.

  SECCO PS unit adopts BP/ABB's proprietary PS technology, producing different grades of HIPS and GPPS with mass polymerization process. 10 grades of product are guaranteed, including GPPS-116\123\232\251; HIPS424\514\532\622\641\632E;Meanwhile 5 additional grades are available, including GPPS-153D\321\350; HIPS-416\433. Overall production capacity is 300ktpa,the biggest in the country, and the product quality meets ISO-series standards.
